The facilities consist of three buildings: SPF (specific pathogen free) animals experiment facilities, medium animal experiment facilities, and small animal experiment facilities. In addition to rooms for raising the animals including P2 level, there are rooms for surgical dissection, behavioral experiments, physiological experiments, treatment, and washing, all with experimental factors appropriately controlled, including temperature humidity, ventilation, and lighting. The SPF facilities are equipped with air shower, autoclaves, bath boxes, and bath rooms, to control microorganisms to the fullest possible extent. These facilities allow for the accommodation of experimental animals (including SPF animals), such as transgenic or knockout mice, rats, rabbits, birds, and monkeys.
